Modern Chinese History, 20th Century East Asia Regional and Comparative social history, History of Family, Marriage, and Funeral; Gender and Sexualities; Quantitative History, History of Hong Kong and Macau
My dissertation project," Breaking Habits, Changing Customs: Marriage Law and Practice in South China, 1930-1980 " focuses on changes in marriage behaviors, marital customs, mate choice, and marriage payments in responses to implementation of marriage regulations and laws in Republican and Socialist South China and colonial Hong Kong.
