The History Minor

Students whose major area of interest is not history may nonetheless find that a minor in history makes an invaluable contribution to their studies. A knowledge of history provides a sense of the context within which important developments in art, literature, philosophy, science, or technology took place and is necessary to an understanding of their origins and of their human implications.

Requirements for the Minor

Eight history courses are required, four of which must be upper-division. There are no other distribution requirements and there is no comprehensive (exit) requirement for the minor.
