Erin Wright

Invited Keynote Speaker for the 2017 Undergraduate History Showcase, Erin Wright is now the Director of Community Relations for the Oakland Raiders.

Erin Wright is in her fifth season with the Raiders and her second as Director of Community Relations.

In her role, Erin supervises the administration and support of a variety of programs and events which primarily focus on education, health and fitness, youth football, volunteerism, and civic involvement. She works with current players, and other members of the organization, to manage their participation in community outreach efforts throughout the year.

Prior to her most recent position, Erin worked throughout the Bay Area for a series of nonprofit organizations. After graduating college, Erin joined AmeriCorps for a year of service which furthered her passion of working with the community. Since then she has devoted that passion to employment in workforce development, food and housing insecurity and social justice causes.

In her free time, Erin volunteers advocating for women’s rights, specifically the empowerment of young women and girls. She is a Woman of Impact and a member of the College Steering Committee for Girls Inc. of Alameda County and was recently recognized as a Strong, Smart and Bold woman at their luncheon.  Additionally, she has served on the National Domestic Violence Hotline 20th Anniversary Gala Committee.

Originally from Orange County, California, Erin earned a bachelor’s degree in History with an emphasis in the Americas and Africa from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
