Faculty

The faculty of the History Department are a distinguished group of internationally recognized researchers and teachers. They have published throughout the world, in many languages, and have won numerous international and national awards for their scholarly work. Within the past several years, history faculty have also been recognized for the excellence of their teaching through campus-wide distinguished teaching awards. UCSC history scholars are known not only for their scholarship but also for the quality of their engagement with students.
