Research Focus
My research interests center around the impact of Article 9 (the forced disarmament of Japan's army and eventual transformation into the modern day Self Defense Force) in the re-structuring and economic recovery of Japan in the years following the end of World War II. My master's thesis will discuss the reasoning and conception behind article 9 and how it affects Japan's status as a global power to this day.
